Good Sunday Evening,
Hope everyone has had a good day -- Today's sketch was a challenge for me as I don't have any oval punches. Then I remembered I had a bird rubber stamp that I have been wanting to use that is oval. So I fussy cut out the oval for my cards.
I saw this stamp at Michael's along with a sample card to make. So I copied some of the ideas from that sample using today's sketch and added a couple of touches of my own.
The first card I did in kraft, tans, off white, brown and black. I actually made a boo boo on the bird oval -- I heat embossed the bird so that I could color the background with some lumiere acrylic paint but low and behold -- it turned out a bit too purple so I set it aside and made another embossed oval with the bird for the brown card. Then after I finished the brown card -- I kept looking at my purple oval and thought -- why not make a purple card -- so below is the results.
Thanks for stopping by.

Love the purple version! Very pretty!
I really like both of these cards. I was trying to figure out a way to make a oval. I can't cut straight. You did a great job. Really like the pins too!
So pretty! I love the colors!
Very pretty cards and a wonderful job on your fussy cutting. That colors are so nice in both cards. I love the antique feel.
