Good Sunday afternoon. Hope everyone has had a good weekend. Thanks for taking a minute to stop in -- I know there are so many wonderful cards to view and it isn't always easy to visit all the blogs.
This sketch was fun to do. The hardest part was figuring out what to use as embellishments.
The Sew Sweet card I used a spool stamp from Clear Arts Stamp and wrapped them with embroidery floss. I have been wanting to do that from the time I purchased the stamps so today I thought I would try it. The sentiment I typed it on my computer but the little needle is from Clear Arts too. I used two little button brads from Stampin Up. I also looped some thread from the bottom spool through the needle.
The cupcake card I used cupcake stickers from Jolees. The DP for both cards is from K & Company - the Classic K series. The sentiment on the cupcake card is from Hero Arts.
My cards show a little dark -- my flash wasn't working and I was just about out of daylight. This is one of my goals for this year is to improve on my card picture taking.
Thanks again for stoppin' in
Sharon

The cupcakes look almost good enough to eat and I love the spools of thread. Very cute.
The creativity of the spools of thread is over the top amazing! I adore how you used real threads and even looped one up to the needle. So clever!
I have always wanted to do a sew theme card! You card rocks! TFS!!!
These are all so wonderful and very creative!
Love that floss card. If the red is a print then this card would qualify for the ODBD challenge in yesterday's post too (and help earn OWH some free shipping).
Two great and fun cards! I love those little spools of floss and the needles on the sentiment panel!
Sharon, that "Sew Sweet" card is just darling! I think I might have to case it! What a great idea for the embellishments! Thanks for joining us in this week's OWH Stars & Stamps Sketch Challenge!
Wow I love both of your cards! Your cupcake one made me want to go get a cupcake! Lovely use of your papers too!
I love coming to your blog because of the many different cards you show for the sketches. Both of your cards are so cute. I hate to pick a favorite, but I do love those bobbins of thread!
What a great card. I thought about doing cupcakes but chose butterflies instead. Your cards are beautiful!
Best take on at this sketch, very good design.
