Necktie Challenge

Good Morning (Friday the 13th) -- that has always been a good day for me- I hope it is for you too.  Say what do you think about that millionth card???? Yippee!!!!   It was fun watching Sandy count them out last night on OWHtv.

Below are my 5 necktie cards -- shipped off to Sandy on Thursday.   These were fun to do -- it took me my first couple of neckties to get the hang of it.  I sewed on the collar buttons on the shirts and added a tie tack on 4 of my ties.  The tutorial was great.  Thanks for stopping in and may you all have a wonderful day.

OWH Stars and Stamps - Sketch Challenge #68

Happy Mother's Day -- I hope everyone had a wonderful day.  My day was quiet but nice -- my husband is recovering from major surgery so we didn't go out today which allowed me to work on some cards.  I received some phone calls from family too.  The biggest surprise (and most pleasant) was a Mother's Day card from my husband -- he had surgery over a week ago and hasn't been out of the house -- so he was really thinking ahead.  No -- he didn't sneak in my craft room and make it :-)

Thanks for stopping in and on to today's challenge:

OWH Sketch 66 Challenge -- Easter Sunday

Happy Easter -- and thanks for all who stop by this blessed day.

Although today isn't really a red, white and blue day -- I felt patriotic today after I finished making potatoe salad and baking an apple pie (two of my husband's favorite things) so to keep the patriotic mood going  I made a patriotic card using today's sketch.

I enjoyed this sketch -- it is a good one for using narrow scraps of paper.
The sentiment stamps are from Stampendous - Freedom Squares.  The Eagle stamp is from the Stampin' Place.   I colored the eagle with Crayola pencils.  The wavey flags on ivory paper is from Scrap Happy.

Hope you all have a wonderful week!

OWH Sketch 65 Challenge and MWT - Monochromatic Challenge

Thanks for stopping in this week --  I am behind schedule but still wanted to post some cards. We were out of town for five days and I didn't get any cards made while we were gone -- so doing my best to catch up I combined the Sketch 65 Challenge and the Monochromatic Challenge in a couple of my cards.

Here is OWH Sketch 65

The saying is a stamp from Penny Black, Inc.  The paper is John Deere and generic green cardstock.  I know this is masculine and probably shouldn't have a bow -- but I did a bow anyway -- I tried to make the bow as manly as I could. :-)

I combined the two challenges with this card as well.  Since taking this picture I added three little bling stickers to the lower left -- it seems to dress it up a bit more.  I think it still needs a little something -- still pondering what else it may need.  Not sure of where I bought the stamp or the paper.

This card is just the monochromatic challenge.  The hound dog stamp is from Stampin' Place.  I just love the look of this dog.  The sentiment is from Hero Arts -- the "Woof" is from Cloud9 Designs.

Wishing you all a Happy Easter.

OWH Stars and Stamps Sketch #64

Hello -- it has been a couple of weeks since my last post.  Life happens and sometimes you have to adjust your time to go with the flow and that was the case with me --I was unable to share in the past sketch challenges.  Today -- has been busy but I was bound and determined to get a couple of cards made and posted -- sooo without anymore sniveling -- here are my cards.

I decided to make mine Father's Day cards (for the Wednesday Challenge) and use some doggie stamps (a bit late but for Ciara's request).  Thanks for stoppin' by -- Hope you all have a wonderful week.

The Scottish Terrier Card - The dog stamp is from Stampin' Place, the saying is from Stampers Best.  The plaid paper is Sugarplum Plaid from Karen Foster Designs.

The Basset Hound Card - The dog stamp is from Stampin' Place, the saying is from Cloud9 Designs,  The doggie bone paper is from Tuula. The checkered paper - not sure where that is from. For the big dog bone - I used a stamp from the Cloud 9 Designs and enlarged it with my copier
