I am posting five cards today -- three are all fashioned after this weeks sketch #113 over at OWH. I've added a few embellishments on those cards. The third card I flipped and made a little adjustment to the layout - this card is for Tuesday tutorial - faux leather.
I tried the faux leather on the card with the old truck. The technique is easy to do -- just a little time consuming putting the masking tape on. I found the faux leather to be rather delicate - when I punched holes for my buttons my hole punch marked up the side -- so I tried to cover it with ink -- but it doesn't dry -- so I had to emboss a small section that had the boo boo -- but all in all I think it turned out the way it is supposed to look.
The fourth and fifth cards are for Wednesday's Throwdown Challenge at OWH. The challenge was to use green and yellow on your card.
Thanks for stopping in -- I hope you all have a fun crafting weekend.
|This is my attempt at the faux leather. This was Tuesday tutorial -- I used scraps fro the large strip and the narrow strip I took from an old dictionary that I purchased at a thrift shop. The old rusty truck stamp is from Stamper's Best.|
