OWH Stars & Stamps Sketch #58

Here are my first cards I've ever posted (yippee)--and my attempt at playing along with this week's sketch challenge #58.

I had fun trying to come up with color schemes.  It seems I spend more time trying to decide what colors and/or stamps to use before I even get started.  Do any of the rest of you struggle with this?   On my "Howdy" card I used Flair Designs -Horsin' Around Collection and the stamp -- luckily I found an old horseshoe stamp that I have had for ages (long before stampin' was cool).  On the Easter card I used KandCompany Design paper, with a bit of ribbon and stamps from Clear Art Stamps.

Have a good week --

Very nice cards! I love the Cowboy theme...the sheet music is such a clever touch!

I wonder if anyone, besides me, sings the song "Home on the Range" when they look at that card? Thanks for the inspiration and the trip down memory lane!

I sang it too :) I love that howdy card! I like how you turned one horseshoe the other way. And the vertical stripes make me think of tooled leather boots.

Great cards, Sharon! Love those horseshoes, that's a great masculine card. Thanks for joining us in this week's OWH Stars & Stamps Sketch Challenge!

Welcome to the world of blogging and challenges! Your cards are great and you've done a wonderful job here! I really like the first card as I love western themes and looked for ages for a tiny horseshoe image like that! Both cards are wonderful, and I look forward to seeing more of your pretty cards!

These are both great cards. I especially like the western theme. The horseshoes are great. The colors on your second card go great together. We all struggle with choices. One card I did this week took me about two hours to finish it after my first thoughts for it. Other cards I can wizz together in 10 minutes. Sometimes your fast ones come out wonderful. I think you are doing a great job blogging and with your cards. I had to get a lot of help on the blogging end from a wonderful friend I met blogging. Good luck with both and welcome to blogging.
