Stars & Stamps Sketch Challenge #118

Good Sunday afternoon --

It is hot here in the desert -- spent some time in the pool today -- well I didn't actually -- I watched hubby swim while I sat on the edge and I stuck my feet in and enjoyed the cool water.  I like the pool just a bit warmer - we just fired off the solar this past week so - a few more hot days and it will be just perfect.   Before going outside, I did manage to make a few cards this morning using today's sketch.   I didn't do any for last week's sketch challenge, I just couldn't get my circle mojo going. :-)

I like this sketch  -  I thought this sketch was a very easy one.   I plan on making a few more cards using this sketch.  I tried keeping my cards very simple today, just following the sketch.  Although, I did try a new technique to me --  the inked block technique.  I did all of my cards using this technique.  I like the background that this technique provides.  I will be making a couple more "muscle cards" before I get my batch of cards out Monday or Tuesday to OWH.

I hope all of you have a had a good day crafting or doing what you like to do -- enjoy your week.

Thanks for stopping in.

Sharon

OWH Stars and Stamps Sketch Challenge #116

Good Sunday Evening and Happy Easter.

I hope you had a happy Easter Sunday.    We stayed home for this Easter - all of our family lives out of state so I cooked a nice Easter dinner for the two of us -- it seems no matter how many for dinner 2 or 20 - the time to prepare and cook stays about the same.  Clean up is a little faster -- not so many dinner plates and glasses.   :-)

I managed to make one sketch challenge card -- between cooking and helping hubby out in the garage -- (he's busy building some cabinets for his man cave) and that extra hand to hold a measuring tape helps.

I switched gears from the Muscle Challenge cards to pink, blue and kraft for this card -- not sure why but I just couldn't get to thinking or my mojo to do masculine today.

Thanks for taking the time to stop by -- and for past visitors - thanks for your encouraging and kind comments.

Have a wonderful week.

Sharon

The Designer Paper - Beau Chateau,  the ribbon Scallop Dot,  label punch and card stock is all from SU.

OWH Stars & Stamps Sketch Challenge No. 115; the ODBD and Wednesday's Challenge "Thinking of You"

Good Morning - wishing everyone a blessed day.

Finally getting Sunday's Challenge posted and managed to make one more card for OBDB's Challenge and Wednesday got here and that challenge was to make a card with 'Thinking of you" so I decided to add that sentiment to the OBDB's challenge -- now I am all caught up on the challenges for this week.

I also wanted to say Sandy got me with her April Fool's pranks.  I was already working on Masculine cards for the OWH Muscle Challenge but when she said that a request had come in for brown cards -- I thought I can do that so I switched from making cards with cars using blues, blacks and reds and wasn't going to do the outdoorsie ones just yet  -- so I switched gears and made a couple of brown cards to follow or fearless leaders request. - Then today I am reading on the Homefront Blog and see that the brown card request was a joke along with the glitter story and Ellen --  Boy did I get fooled -- Hmmm next year I won't be so gullible (LOL)

Wishing everyone a Happy Easter.

Sharon S.
