OWH Stars and Stamps Sketch Challenge #61

Good afternoon everyone.  Here's my try at today's challenge.

I found this to be a fun sketch.  The floral and green check papers are from K&Company the Classic K Charolette Collection.  The pink paper is from g.c.d. studios.  The stamp is from Hero Arts.  I also used Wilton flower petals behind my button.  Being new to all of this please feel free let me know where I might improve in my card making endeavors.

Have a good day and thanks for stopping in.  I am going to get back to working on more cards.

OWH Mid-week throwdown challenge using Scallops

Not having any scallop punches or cutters - I found an old piece of paper that I purchased a few years ago that had a wonderful scalloped edge -- so I decided to use it to create my card. (I'll finish it up and make some more cards) The yellow and pink cardstock are from a pack of cardstock I purchased at Walmart.  The saying is from Hero Arts and I am not sure where I got the dragonfly.  I used a little bit of ric rack and a small pink button with some black ribbon -- and there you have it.

Thanks for stoppin'  -- I hope everyone has had a Happy St. Patrick's Day.

OWH Stars and Stamps Sketch Challenge 60

Good Sunday and daylight savings time to everyone.  Today the weather was really great here in the desert which  made it really difficult to stay indoors, however, I just got a new sewing machine and wanted to play with it -- that made it easy to stay inside to do my project.  I used the blanket stitch around all the one inch squares.  My little quilt squares aren't perfect nor is the stiching  -- hopefully it makes it look a little more vintage?  :-)  It was fun to do.

Here's my attempt at today's challenge --

The peach and polka dot paper is from Creative Stamping.  The stamps were from Clearstamps - Material Girl and the saying stamp is from Hot Off the Press.  This card could also apply to the Polka Dot Challenge.

Have a great crafting week.  Thanks for stopping by.

OWH Stars and Stamps Sketch Challenge #59

First, I would like to say thank you to all that visited my blog on the "Bunny Hop" and especially for the delightful comments.  Being new to all of this -- the wonderful comments gives me the courage and confidence to continue on learning more and doing more.  So again -- THANK YOU!

Now for this weeks challenge -- Sketch Challenge #59

The paper is from Cosmo Cricket, Wanted -Kissin Kate and Calamity Jane.  The horse stamp is from Inkadinkado. I saw the stamping technique in a magazine and thought I would try it on one of my cards.   My husband flattened some conchos for me so I could use them on my cards.  I'm not sure of  the brand for the sentiment stamp.  I enjoyed making this card -- I am a cowgirl at heart.

I like this sketch and plan on doing some Mother's Day cards for OWH using this sketch.

Thanks for stopping in.  Have a great week and happy card making!

Bunny Hop - March 5th

Start the hop
HAPPY SPRING CARDS

The plaid paper is from Paper Pizazz and the white polka dot with purple background is from Making Memories paper.  The light green textured paper is card stock from Walmart.  The cute bunny stamps are from Clear Art Stamps and the saying stamp is from Hero Arts stamps.  I had fun coloring -- haven't done that in a long, long time.

I used K & Company Designer Paper on this card.  The bunny is a digital download from Piddix and the stamps for the saying and little chick are from Clear Art Stamps.

I am new to making cards and I find the OWH card gallery a wonderful resource for inspiration and ideas. Click here to take a look at all of their wonderful cards for inspiration.

Please remember to get your Easter Cards completed and delivered to your shipper by March 18th and of course we have to remember Mother's Day Cards too.  The Mother's Day Cards are due to your shipper by March 31st.

Thanks to all of you that visiting today -- not only being new to making cards -- this is my first blog hop, I hope you enjoyed the cards.  Thanks again and have a Great Day!
